2022 Cancer Disparities and Health Equity Summit

Description

Cancer disparities represent a major public health problem in our state, and across the country. FLASCO is following this important national dialog that calls for the need to do more to address disparities in cancer care, not only focusing on genetic and biological issues, but also social and cultural determinants of health that can have a strong influence in the clinical outcomes of our cancer patients. Great efforts are being made to bring together faculty and leaders from national organizations, oncology advocacy groups, clinicians, and pharmaceutical industry partners. Everyone’s involvement in this effort is necessary to achieve success. We are making great strides to increase the awareness of the need for a better health equity, improve clinical outcomes, educate our community, and involve payers, cancer advocates, and patients. This two-day conference in Hollywood, Florida will not only feature lectures, but also several round tables to promote dialog among faculty and attendees.
